Objective
The students deepen their knowledge of wines and sensory assessment of wines. They can perceive the world of wines holistically. They can acquire, store, sell and recommend wines when in charge of wines in their restaurant tasks.
Content
Wine cultivation, production and labels.
Different wines and strong alcoholic beverages from Europe and the New World.
Sensory assessment exercises.
Recommending wines on different occasions. Beverage management. Strong alcoholic beverages and cocktails.
Qualifications
The students know the basics of the production of wines and other alcoholic beverages in different countries.
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
1 the student have a basic knowledge about vinification, viticulture,sales and marketing, spirits and cocktails. S/he is not able to implement the knowledge into the action.
2 the student have a basic knowledge about vinification, viticulture,sales and marketing, spirits and cocktails. S/he needs support to implement this knowledge into the action.
3 The student understands the meaning of alcoholic beverage in a context of business and is able to manage them in an professional way.

5 In addition to previous the student has created a network within business professionals and is able to apply ones knowledge critically and innovatively.
