Objective

The student understands that a project is a goal-directed instrument for change. He/she knows the typical features and difficulties of projects. The student knows different phases of (life cycle) a project and is able to plan and control the entirety of a project according to the phases. The student will get tools to start to plan and manage his/her own developmental project.

The student understands how to choose different project models and his/her own role in a customer project. He/she also perceives the importance of projects in developing an organization and as a tool for learning.

The student knows the field of project management, success factors and the relationship between the different components. He/she can use the tools of project management and apply valid practices.

Content

Projects as instruments for implementation and development. Different project models and types. Project cycle. The main features of projects. Different fields of project management and their significance in successfulness. The tools for project management and the developmental and idea generating methods which increase commitment.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

5 (Excellent) The student shows integrated project and teamwork mastery and understands their role in the productivity of an organization. He/she recognizes the different phases in a project cycle and also in team’s development. The student masters different subjects in project management and how they are related. He/she controls the central tools in project management and can apply the tools in practice. The student can anticipate beforehand the risk factors in project work and take action to avoid them. The student can compose independently a qualified project plan for an identified project idea and can implement the plan professionally. The student is able to evaluate the success of a project work and also develop the work.
4 (Very good) The student shows project and teamwork mastery and understands their role in the productivity of an organization. He/she recognizes the different phases in a project cycle and also in team’s development. The student knows different subjects in project management and how they are related. He/she recognizes the central tools in project management and can apply the tools in practice. The student can anticipate beforehand the risk factors in project work and take action to avoid them. The student can compose independently a qualified project plan for an identified project idea and can implement the plan professionally. The student is able to evaluate the success of a project work and also develop the work.
3 (Good) The student shows project and teamwork mastery and understands their role in the productivity of an organization. He/she recognizes the different phases in a project cycle and also in team’s development. The student knows in outline different subjects in project management and how they are related. He/she recognizes the central tools in project management and can apply guided the tools in practice. The student can anticipate guided beforehand the risk factors in project work and take action to avoid them. The student can guided compose a project plan for an identified project idea and can implement the plan with the project group. The student needs support to evaluate the success of a project work and also develop the work.
2 (Satisfactory) The student shows limited project and teamwork mastery and understands partly their role in the productivity of an organization. He/she recognizes the different phases in a project cycle and also in team’s development. The student knows some different subjects in project management and only partly how they are related. He/she recognizes some tools in project management and need guidance apply the tools in practice. The student can anticipate guided beforehand the risk factors in project work and need lots of support to take action to avoid them. The student can guided compose a project plan for an identified project idea and can implement the plan with the project group. The student needs support to evaluate the success of a project work and also develop the work.
1 (Sufficient) The student no shows project and teamwork mastery and understands limited their role in the productivity of an organization. He/she recognizes mainly the different phases in a project cycle and also in team’s development. The student knows some different subjects in project management and can´t recognizes how they are related. He/she recognizes some tools in project management and need lots of guidance apply the tools in practice. The student can´t anticipate beforehand the risk factors in project work. The student can take part to compose a project plan for an identified project idea and can implement the plan with the project group. The student needs support to evaluate the success of a project work and also develop the work.
