Communication ToolsLaajuus (5 cr)

Objective

Working as a member of a group, the student can design, and give a versatile presentation on a given subject. The presentation will follow proper guidelines and demonstrate creativity by both the group and its individual members. In the presentation, the student will creatively utilize modern techniques and technologies for achieving effective intercultural communication. The student also learns the theoretical background of communication and learns to recognize the basic needs for humans to communicate.

Modern Internet communication tools.
Software tools for creating a presentation.
Principles of a good presentation.
Designing, creating, presenting and reporting a presentation.
Evaluating a presentation.

Qualifications

Basics of ICT technology.
Creating written reports based on JUA's Project Reporting Instructions.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Assessment is based on knowledge, skills and competence in accordance with the National and European Qualifications Framework, Level 6. The assessment criteria for individual courses are given in an annex to the implementation plan of the course.
