Objective

Academic writing 2 cr: The students understand the significance of the writing process for learning and develop their written communication skills. They know the common text types of academic writing and the characteristics of formal style.
Recap of linguistic forms 1 cr: The students are able to produce good text with regard to linguistic form.
Tsemppis 2 cr: The students progress in their learning and studies with guidance and support. Their reading and writing skills are enhanced, which enables them to plan their own activities and use of time, as well as to read, prepare for exams, and complete written assignments.

Content

Academic writing 2 cr: The interactive writing process and academic writing, text types of the assignments, writing formal text.
Recap of linguistic forms 1 cr: good text with regard to linguistic form
Tsemppis 2 cr: Tsemppis offers tools for difficulties related to dyslexia, the perception of written language, and language learning. Guidance is based on a perceived need for support and, if necessary, also on the assessment of reading and writing difficulties. Assessment is provided twice a year for those who suspect dyslexia of some degree.
