Professional Practice III bLaajuus (12 cr)

Objective

The student:

Is able to cooperate and work as a go-between for the customer, his/her social network and rehabilitation service system and other representatives from the customer’s profession and values them and their expertise.
Is able to implement and coordinate multidisciplinary and multi-professional cooperation across organisation and sector lines.
Is able to compile the information and viewpoints collected during cooperation and to utilise these in rehabilitation plans.
Is able to use methods of multidisciplinary cooperation.
Is able to supervise and train individuals/the community on how to participate in cooperation related to their rehabilitation and ensure that they participate.
Is able to document and produce reference materials.

Content

The content of practical training is determined by possibilities provided by the location of the practical training, the objectives of the period and a student’s own goals and career plans.

Qualifications

The student understands the principles of supervision and planning and is able to use different supervision methods. The student is able to guide, support and advise customers/customer groups of varying ages on the rehabilitation process and use of services and benefits from a customer-perspective.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Pass: Also see assessment of practical training IIIa. The student has participated in planning, realisation and assessment of rehabilitation processes and services in their own field of expertise and worked together with customers, a network and multidisciplinary working groups in doing so. He/she has shared his/her expertise within the community and in work teams. He/she has displayed an ability to work in cooperation with the customer and their social network, various authorities, communities, multidisciplinary teams and the professional world. The student has the problem solving skills of their own field and knows how to use these even in unforeseeable situations.
