Objective

The students have advanced their knowledge concerning the topics covered in Analytical Chemistry I and are able to use new common devices and methods used in analytical chemistry.

The students master the stages of statistical research from data collection to statistical analysis and interpretation of the results. They can utilise various software in reporting.

Content

Quantitative work: titrimetry, acid-base titration, complexometric titration, iodometric titration, water analysis, the theory and devices of potentiometric and conductometric methods. Theory: pH, acids and bases, buffer solutions, solubility.

Common sampling methods, statistical variables and measuring levels, one- and two-dimensional distribution, statistical numbers, the interpretation of results, basics of chemometry. Application software: e.g. Excel and Access.
