Basics of BuildingLaajuus (3 cr)

Objective

The students are familiar with the main literature of the field and able to search for information. They master the main stages of a building project, knowing the roles and responsibilities of the parties of a building project, as well as common building permit practices and the air-to-air heat transmission coefficient, can draft construction and detail drawings for a simple building, and recognizes the most common building machines.

Content

Main literature, the parties of a building project, the Land Use and Building Act and Decree, calculating U-values for structures, drawing exercises, building machines.

40% = grade 1, 90% = grade 5.
