Teaching Situations in Special Cases and Different Ages (5cr)

Objective

The students become familiar with the laws of personal growth and development, with the main theories of development and the psychology of the life cycle. They understand the different ways of learning according to age, and are able to use their knowledge and skills in a teaching situation. They are familiar with special case pedagogy's basic concepts and those meant for different groups.

Content

The Psychology of development's basic concepts and development's general principles. The different didactics and pedagogic solutions depending on student's age and in different teaching situations. Special case pedagogy's basic concepts, the different groups for which it is meant, special teaching and fitness. The support of students needing special guidance and teaching. Music as one theme.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Praiseworthy, excellent (4-5):
The students have participated actively in contact lessons without absences. They are original and skillful in practical activities (demonstrations, exercises) and show to possess broad theoretical knowledge and personal reflectiveness during the conversations carried out in lessons and in the written assignments.

Good (3): The students have taken part in lessons satisfactorily either without absences or having made up for them. They are consciencious in practical activities (demonstrations, exercises) and show to possess theoretical knowledge and personal reflectiveness during the conversations carried out in lessons and in their written work.

Passable, satisfactory (1, 2):
The students have participated in contact lessons but have been absent above the allowed amount without making up. They have not shown much assurance in practical activities (demonstrations, exercises). Their theoretical knowledge and reflectiveness in lesson conversation participation and in written assignments is scarce.
